TSALOVE INTERVIEW WITH ERIC

Disa: From Puja in California. Do you ever wonder how your life would be different if you weren't a part of TSA? Where do you think you'd be working, living, would you not have met certain people?
Eric: Oh, of course. Like, if we hadn't been involved in TSA, I think both of our lives would be very different. Like for me, I think I would still be working a retail job. Actually, this is a really long story, but I was actually enlisted in the Marine Corps at one point.
Disa: Oh yeah... um, side story. Cascade... I go there, you know?
Eric: Yeah.
Disa: At the Veterans Day assembly...
Eric: My pictures always up there!
Disa: Yeah!
Eric: It's really, really random. I know! I wish they would take it off!
Disa: Everytime I see it I'm like "Eric!"
Eric: It's like, it was a joke at first but it's not funny anymore! So, yeah...
Disa: Anyway...
Eric: Long story, that's really funny.
Disa: Anyway, where were we? Okay... were you...?
Eric: I'm done! Next question!
Disa: Okay. From Annie in Ohio. Did you have any cool companions in Argentina?
Eric: I did. I had a bunch of cool companions. Like, I never was with anybody that I didn't get along with or I couldn't stand. I saw some situations where it was very, very bad so I felt blessed.
Disa: Okay, from Annie in Ohio again. What were the people like?
Eric: What were they like... the Argentine people are very friendly, but they will talk your head off if you let them. So you have to know how to control the conversation and just... "Alright, this is why we're here... this is what we're gonna talk about." But I dunno, they were very friendly people but I love them. I really love them. Seriously.
Disa: That's good. From Annie in Ohio again. Was it tough to learn the language?
Eric: Yes and no. Spanish, I think's the easiest of all the languages to learn. Like, I'm glad I wasn't speaking Chinese. But it didn't take a long time. But I never -- I'm going to admit something I'll probably regret, but I never picked up my Spanish book to study it. So I don't know rules, but I can speak it because I learned it in the street. So, yeah.
Disa: Okay, from Taylor in Arizona. Are you excited to get back into touring and doing music?
Eric: Absolutely. We have a tour planned for -- we're waiting to get the dates but it's gonna be mid-late February all through March we're gonna be going over to the UK, but I don't know if that's gonna be TSA or later, or just Danger Radio. But like, I am so excited. And Andrew and I in just the last two days we've wrote two new songs and we already have them recorded. And they are... they blow anything we've ever written out of the water. So, if I could show them to you, I would right now, but I don't have them on me. They're amazing.
Disa: Oh, hahah okay.
Eric: They're amazing though.
Disa: Okay I'm excited! When are they coming out?
Eric: They'll be on our next album... our next full length.
Disa: When is that coming out?
Eric: We are hoping to have another full length record I would love to see out in fall of '09. If not, sooner. Summer of '09. I would love it.
Disa: Okay, from Taylor in Arizona again. Did you learn anything on your trip that has changed your or will change your life in the way you live or see things?
Eric: I think I learned how to talk to God. I think I learned how to pray. Which for me is something that's amazing because if you know how to do that, you can get any question answered. It doesn't matter. Talk to the guy who knows everything.
Disa: From Bianca in Texas. Did you miss Andrew?
Eric: I missed Andrew like you wouldn't believe. I never... I didn't expect... I expected to miss people, but seriously... I missed that kid like my own brother.
